Sally Beatrice Bennett

Sally Beatrice "Bea" Bennett, 77, died Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Magnolia Place in New Albany. She was born January 31, 1943, in Union County, Mississippi, the daughter of Cecil Lindsey and Josephine McMillen Lindsey. Mrs. Bennett, a homemaker, had lived most of her life in Collierville, Tennessee, but had moved back to New Albany approximately seven years ago. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Loyd Bennett of New Albany; a son Jerry Loyd Bennett of New Albany; a daughter, Gail Baird and husband, Billy, of Collierville, Tennessee; a sister, Joann Chunn of New Albany; four grandchildren, David Baird, Kerry Baird, Chad Bennett, and Jonathan Baird; and three great-grandchildren, Jamie Baird, Ruth Baird, and Emily Baird. Services are Saturday in Glenfield Memorial Park at 10:00 A.M. with Brother Gary Yates officiating. Pallbearers will be Pete Chunn, Bubba Dyer, Billy Roberts, and Bill Hilliard. The family requests that donations in Mrs. Bennett's memory be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
