Kathy Jane Swords

Kathy Swords, 71, was born on February 12, 1950, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, the daughter of Marvin and Christine Rooker Dixon. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her residence in Union County. Kathy was a member of the Church of God and had been a furniture factory employee. Survivors include her son, Timothy Harris and wife, Jennifer, of Myrtle; her daughter, Christy Grubbs, and husband, Phillip, of Ecru; brother, Rudy Dixon of New Albany and half brother, Larry Frazier of West Union; sister, Vickie Diillard of Blue Mountain; grandchildren, Tyler Harris, Ceara Harris, Joseph Moody, Daniel Moody, and Hailey Grubbs; and great grandchildren, Laura Moody and Jake Moody. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Jimmy Wayne Harris and Glen Dale Swords. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 2:00 P. M., at Glenfield Funeral Home, with burial following in Glenfield Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P. M. until 2:00 P. M. on Friday. Active pallbearers will be Tyler Harris, Joseph Moody, Daniel Moody, Dustin Cisco, Phillip Grubbs, and Phillip Bridges.
