David Larra Cobb

David Larra Cobb, 72, died Sunday, September 1, 2019, at his residence.  He was born February 12, 1947, in Cleveland, Mississippi, the son of Charlie Spencer Cobb and Ottice Udell New Cobb.  David was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a U. S. Army Veteran, and had worked  in concrete construction and also an employee of Piper Impact.  David was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping.   Survivors include his wife, Norma Faye Cobb of New Albany; two sons, Michael David Cobb and Joey Lavell Cobb (Crystal) all of New Albany; two daughters, Robina Gail Perrigin and Melissa Faye Golden (Yancey) all of New Albany; a brother, Roland Cobb (Sheila) of Poolville; eight grandchildren; and  three great grandchildren plus one on the way.  He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Charlie Douglas Cobb, James Herbert Cobb, and Roy Rogers Cobb. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 P. M. at Glenfield Funeral Home, with Brother Mitchell Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Keownville Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Allen Westmoreland, Christopher Westmoreland, Andrew Westmoreland, Samuel Westmoreland, Joey Lavell Cobb, Jr., Johnathan Cobb, Larry Thomas, and Brennan Bell.  Visitation will be from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Monday at Glenfield Funeral Home.
