Talmadge Timothy Jaco, a devoted family man and skilled welder, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, in Hernando, MS. Born on January 10, 1959, Talmedge lived most of his life in DeSoto County, Mississippi, with a few years spent in Bruce, MS, where he was deeply connected to his roots and community.
Talmadge is remembered for his unwavering love for his family, which remained the cornerstone of his life. He was married to Nanette Claunch Jaco since November 22, 1997, sharing nearly three decades of partnership and companionship. Their bond reflects a lifetime of shared memories, joy, and steadfast support. Together, they raised a large and lovingly close-knit family, which includes children Bobbie Stevens, Kristy (Tommy) Ozment, Brandi Jaco, Timmy (Jessica) Jaco, Jessica (David)Tyer, Johnathan (Elly) Gatlin, and Kenneth Jaco and son by heart David Tyer.Talmadge was also a cherished brother to Walter Jaco, Cathy Williams, and Donnie Jaco.
His early years were marked by an adventurous spirit, notably highlighted by a treasured memory of him and his brother jumping a train to New Orleans at the tender age of 12, where they stayed for two weeks. This youthful escapade mirrored a lifelong fondness for adventure and discovery that enriched his character.
Talmadge’s connection to faith was profound, with his home church being Chickenbone Baptist Church in Bruce, MS, which played an integral role in his spiritual life and community engagement.
Professionally, Talmadge was known for his craftsmanship and dedication as a welder, a skill that complemented his passions for hauling scrap iron and building things. These interests underscored a life dedicated to hard work and creativity. Additionally, Talmadge had a deep affection for fishing and a special love for babies, areas where his gentle nature and care were especially evident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel Jaco and Cathleen Jaco, and siblings Wayne Jaco, Kenneth (Coot) Jaco, and grandson Tyler Ozment.
Talmadge Timothy Jaco’s life was one defined by love, resilience, and a strong connection to family and faith. His legacy lives on through his loved ones and all who had the privilege to know him. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
