Shirley Carson Wilson

Shirley Wilson, 83, died Friday, December 3, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Patricia Roberts. Mrs. Wilson was born April 5, 1938, at Blue Mountain, Mississippi, the daughter of Robert and Ruth Luna Carson. She was a Baptist and attended Anchor Holds church. Her hobbies included quilting and writing poetry. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Lang, and husband, Billy, of Ingomar, Patricia Roberts, and husband, Barry, of New Albany, and Janet Messer, and husband, Richard, of New Albany; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her husband, Elton O'Neal Wilson; her daughter Regina Diane Wilson; and two sisters, Janet Pannell and Helen Hogue, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 12:00 P. M., at Glenfield Funeral Home, with her nephew, Brother Robert Hogue, officiating. Pallbearers will be Barry Roberts, William P. Lang, William O. Lang, Brandon Lang, Richard Messer, Christopher Madonna, and Steven McMillen. Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park.
