Leland Travis Wilson

Leland Travis Wilson, 86, passed away peacefully in his home in New Albany, Mississippi, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Mr. Wilson was born on October 27, 1936, in Hickory Flat, Mississippi. He was retired from International Paper in Louisiana, and he and his wife Dot, moved to New Albany, in 2005. Mr. Wilson enjoyed family gatherings and deer hunting with his three brothers and brother-in-law. Leland Travis Wilson is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Wilson; his son Leland Wilson, Jr.; his parents, Ernest and Georgia Lee Wilson; three brothers; one sister; two half-brothers; and a half-sister. Survivors include four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to Home Care Hospice and the many caregivers who looked after Mr. Wilson. Their care and companionship meant so much to him.
