Jewell Harston Ethridge

Jewell Ethridge, 75, died Friday, February 15, 2019, at Pontotoc Health & Rehab Center. He was born January 26, 1944, in Lee County the son of Hoarace F, Sr. and Ruby Jewel Watson Ethridge. Jewell was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church and was a tool and dye setter. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.   Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue Ethridge of Pontotoc; four sons, David Ethridge (Stephanie) of Iuka, Johnny Ethridge (Donna) of Tupelo, Anthony Davis (Erin) of Oregon, and Matthew Ethridge (Nancy) of Pratts; three daughters, Diane Reed of Sherman, Dena Sartin (Tim) of Pontotoc, and Rhea Littlejohn (David) of Pontotoc; brother, Vernon Ethridge of Saltillo; sister, Patricia Kennedy of Dumas; eighteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Frank, Jr, Rubin, and Nagel Etheridge.   Services will be on Sunday at 3 P. M. at Buchanan Baptist Church with Bro David Westmoreland, Bro Josh Westmoreland, and Bro Terry Ethridge officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until service time at the church. Burial will be in Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike, Danny, and Bruce Ethridge, David Littlejohn, David Bevill, and Tim Sartin. Honorary pallbearer will be Eli Littlejohn.
