Harl Loyd Windham

February 3, 1930 — May 12, 2018

Harl Loyd Windham, 88, died Saturday at his residence in Booneville.  He was born February 2, 1930, in Tippah County, the son of the late Esker Jefferson Windham and Lula Hugh Miller Windham.  Mr. Windham was of the Church of God of Prophecy denomination and had been a career Army Staff Sergeant.  He enjoyed building bird houses and reading his Bible.  Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Fleming Gargus of Booneville; brothers, Lee Earl Windham and wife, Joyce of Ripely, and Donald Wayne Windham and wife, Kay of New Albany; sisters, Betty Young and husband, Murry of Nesbit, Opal Richerson, Bonnie Walser, and Nellie Barber all of Southaven; and Ella Mae Roberson of New Albany.He was predeceased by his first wife, Akie (Mary) Windham on May 17, 2003; brothers, Waymon and Edward Windham; and sister, Annett Windham.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Glenfield Funeral Home with Brother Clifton Waldron, officiating.  Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Sunday.
