Obituary

Floyd Eugene Garrett (Tiny), beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on February 21, 1964, in New Albany, MS, He dedicated his career to furniture Upholstery, where he worked diligently in the furniture factory.

Tiny will be remembered for his kind heart and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in fishing and grilling delicious meals for family and friends. The weekends were a special time for him, as he cherished gathering his children and grandchildren at home, fostering a sense of togetherness and love.

A passionate fan of car racing, Tiny often spent his weekends at the tracks, reveling in the thrill of the sport he adored. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, generosity, and the laughter he brought into their lives. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Garrett of 37 years, his brother, Jimmy Garrett, and his cherished children, daughter Tonya Garrett Ash (David Ash) and son Brian McDonald. Tiny also took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Ethan McDonald, Dylan McDonald, Garrett Ash, and Peyton Ash, who brought him immense joy. Tiny was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy Garrett and Gloria Garrett Raines.

Funeral services will be held on September 15, 2026. Visitation will take place at 2:00 PM at Glenfield Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Services will be officiated by Bro. James Cox.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Derrick, Tyler Murry, Gary McCallum, Kevin Higgins, Keith Coffey, David Ash, Patrick Jeter, Bubba Higgins. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren Ethan McDonald, Dylan McDonald, Garrett Ash, and Peyton Ash. 

Floyd Eugene Garrett (Tiny) will be deeply missed but will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
