Cecil Marie Dyer, 66, died Monday, February 5, 2018, at Magnolia Place in New Albany. Marie was born May 5, 1951, in Union County, Mississippi, the daughter of Cecil Lee Lindsey and Josephine McMillen Lindsey. She was a Baptist and a former dispatcher for the Union County Sheriff's Department. Survivors include, one son, Bubba Dyer and wife, Tonya, of New Albany; one daughter, Ginger Grisham of Thaxton; two sisters, Beatrice Bennett and husband, Jimmy, of New Albany, and Joan Chunn also of New Albany; three grandchildren, Shannon Harrelson, Jordan Verrell, and Cora Dyer all of New Albany; and one great-grandchild, Cohen Jace of New Albany. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two husbands, Ronnie Dyer and Larry Chunn. Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Glenfield Funeral Home with Brother Gary Yates, officiating. Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jerry Bennett, Pete Chunn, Heath Gray, and Bob Harrelson. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, from 6 P. M. until 8 P. M.
