Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Davis, who left this world peacefully on September 29, 2026, at the age of 68. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 24, 1958, Bobby spent his later years in Hickory Flat, Mississippi, where he built cherished memories and friendships that will echo in the hearts of many.

Bobby was a man of simple pleasures and profound joys. He had an unwavering love for fishing, often found by the water's edge casting his line and contemplating life. His loyal companion, Buddy, a cherished dog, was never far from his side, offering him unconditional love and companionship on his many adventures. Bobby also delighted in the melodies of gospel music, frequently serenading family and friends with heartfelt songs that reflected his deep faith and compassion for others.

Though his formal education concluded at the 8th grade, Bobby's wisdom and kindness spoke volumes. He was known in the community for his hands-on skills, particularly his knack for working on lawn mowers. Many friends and neighbors relied on his expertise, appreciating not just his technical know-how, but also the warm camaraderie he offered during every repair.

Bobby is survived by his loving sister, Shirley King, and his adoring niece and nephew, Deborah King and Raymond King Jr. He is also survived by Dominique, Christopher, Ruby, Brayden, Emery and Bubby, Chloe Raymond, Zayne, Wyatt and Madeline will carry Bobby's spirit forward, remembering the laughter shared, the lessons taught, and the love experienced.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents George Davis and Ruby Davis.

As we say goodbye to Bobby Davis, we remember a man who found joy in the simplest of things - a day on the water, a song lifted in praise, or the companionship of a beloved pet. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for life's little moments. May he rest in peace.
