Billie Crain Smith, age 80, of Memphis, TN passed away at Methodist Hospital Germantown, TN on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Graveside service will be held May 13, 2023 at 12:30 PM in Glenfield Memorial Park in New Albany, MS.  James Steele will be officiating the service.

Billie was born on March 31, 1943 to Crawford James Crain and Ollie Ruth Crain in New Albany, MS.   She grew up in New Albany, MS and attended Union Hill Methodist Church before moving to Dallas, TX where she met her late husband Donald Smith.  They then moved to Memphis, TN. They were married for 51 years and always did everything together.

Billie loved planting and working in the garden with all of her flowers. She was also an avid dessert maker- her strawberry cake and chocolate pie were always a favorite. She was a huge Memphis Grizzlies fan. She watched every NBA playoff game from her hospital room. She was an insurance adjuster for State farm.

 Billie is preceded in death by her parents Crawford James Crain and Ollie Ruth Crain. She is also preceded in death by her husband Donald John Smith, her brothers James Earl Crain and Robert Crain and her sister Sue Britt.

Billie is survived by her daughter Sandra Cramer, her grandson Carson Cramer and her granddaughter Sydney Cramer.
