Betty Ann Prather, 68, died Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Betty was born in Union County on October 10, 1953, the daughter of Ernest and Irene Page Carroll. She was a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith. Her hobbies included flower gardening and fishing. Survivors include her husband, Harvey Prather; one son, Billy Hale, and his wife, Kathy, of Rockport, Texas; two daughters, Betty Lynn Fojut and Avery Prather, both of Ecru; three brothers, Shelby Dean Carroll of Ecru, Bruce Dale Carroll of Myrtle, and Ernest Lee Carroll, of Myrtle; four grandchildren, Billy Edward Hale, Katrina Emery Hale, Avery Prather, and Breanna Taylor; and five great-grandchildren Isabella Sophia Taylor, Christin Alexander Taylor, Lilly Grace Taylor, Richard Domingo Perez and Raven Yvette Pitre. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Presley Carroll and Andrew Carroll; and one sister, Louise Robbins. Brother Glen Williams will officiate Mrs. Prather's funeral service. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
