Betty Hopkins

March 17, 1938 — May 23, 2025

Betty Hopkins, who was born on March 17, 1938, peacefully left us on May 23, 2025, at the age of 87. A lifelong resident of New Albany, Mississippi, Betty was a remarkable homemaker whose warmth and laughter filled every room she entered. She had an incredible ability to nurture those around her, especially her cherished family.

Betty was a proud mother to her daughter, Edith Pipkin, a doting grandmother to Russel Hudson (Erin), Steven Pipkin (Heather), and Laresia Rooker (Brian), and a great-great grandmother to Amareece Ray Bryant.

Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Adam Dye and Pearl Dye and her son Randall Dwayne.

She adored her grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren, pouring her love and spirit into every moment shared with them. Betty found immense joy in her hobbies, especially playing bingo and penny auctions at New Albany Health and Rehab, where her bright smile and infectious laughter could always be found.

As we gather to honor her vibrant life, we invite friends and family to join us for graveside service on May 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The service will be held at Glenfield Memorial Park where we will lay her to rest and celebrate the beautiful memories she left behind.

Betty's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her as we remember her loving nature and joyful spirit. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

Glenfield Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements of Mrs. Betty.
