Sarah Frances Black

Sarah Frances Black, 78, was born in Maben, Mississppi on November 29, 1937, the daughter of Jessie Lee and Mary Lucille Bland Watkins. She died Friday, June 24, 2016 at North Ms Medical Center in Tupelo. Mrs. Black, the widow of Billy Black, was a homemaker and a member of Grace Pointe Church of God. She loved her children and grandchildren, was a great cook, and loved playing dominos. Services will be Monday at 11 A. M. at Grace Pointe Church of God. Visitation will be from 9 A. M. until service time, Monday. Burial will follow at Moorhead Cemetery. Reverend Jim Wells and Dr. Daniel Smith will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Jake, Josh, and Dustin Black, Frank Gronbeck, Andrew Wilkinson, and Cody Cook. Honorary pallbearer will be Timothy Lee. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Black, Dale Black, and Randy Black (Patricia) all of New Albany; brother, Gus Foster (Edna) of Louisville, Tx; two sisters, Robbie Redfern of Denton, Tx and Mary Ann Davis (Ben) of Anniston, Al ; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Luther, Jessie Paul, and Howard Lynn Watkins; two sisters, Joyce Holmes and Barbara Williams, and one grandson, Scottie Black.
