Chester Gordon

Chester Marion Gordon, 90, was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on October 5, 1927, the son of the late Eli and Dorothy Webb Gordon. He died on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Gordon, a Baptist, was a retired rail road employee and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict.     Visitation will be held at Glenfield Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until 1 P. M. Funeral services will start at 1 P. M. with burial following in Glenfield Memorial Park. Brother Lloyd Gordon and Brother Jim Wells will officiate. Pallbearers include Caleb and Connor Bishop, Herbert and Lloyd Gordon, and Greg Coggin.     He is survived by his wife, Mary Nell Gordon of New Albany; brothers, Herbert Gordon of Baldwyn and Lloyd Gordon of Indianapolis, Indiana; grand children, Mikey Tuttle, Amy Heuber, Angie Nolan, Tasha Erickson, Crystal Ann Lokey, and Christopher Gordon; and great-grand children, Heather and Breanna Smith, and Caleb and Connor Bishop. He was preceded in death by two sons, Don and Danny Gordon; one daughter, Brenda Underwood; and four sisters; Iona Vinson, Allie White, and Dorothy and Josephine Gordon.
